The Foreign Office warned that terrorism has become increasingly complex, with militant groups using emerging technologies and cyberspace to expand their reach. It also highlighted concerns over disinformation, misinformation and other security threats.
The ministry described 2025 as one of Pakistan’s deadliest years in more than a decade. It alleged that several attacks were planned, financed or directed from sanctuaries across the border and said civilians, including worshippers, children and women, as well as security personnel, were targeted.
Despite these challenges, Pakistan said it remained committed to the fight against terrorism in all its forms. The Foreign Office also expressed solidarity with people in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir and Palestinians, highlighting their stated concerns over rights and self-determination.
Pakistan called on the international community to support terrorism victims and survivors without discrimination. It also urged greater international cooperation, dialogue and consistent action to help build a more peaceful world for future generations.
