Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran remains committed to peace and stability in the region. He highlighted continued diplomatic engagement with neighboring states as an important part of Iran’s approach to regional challenges.
Araghchi shared the remarks in a post on X on Tuesday. He said Iran’s commitment to peace was supported by active diplomacy with neighboring countries, including Pakistan and Oman.
The Iranian foreign minister also pointed to a proposed framework involving the Strait of Hormuz. The proposal includes creating a new corridor through the strategic waterway, which plays an important role in regional trade and energy shipments.
The framework also includes joint mine-clearing efforts in the Strait of Hormuz. Such cooperation could help improve maritime safety and support the secure movement of vessels through the important regional route.
Araghchi further referred to plans concerning the future management of the Strait of Hormuz. The proposal reflects Iran’s broader emphasis on regional solutions and cooperation rather than relying solely on outside actors to address regional issues.
