Aleema Khan rejects official reports on Imran Khan eye treatment

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, has raised concerns over the ongoing Imran Khan Eye Treatment after the former prime minister was reportedly taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for the fifth time to receive medical care for his eye condition.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Aleema said the family learned about Imran Khan’s latest hospital visit through public information rather than official notification. She questioned the transparency surrounding his medical treatment and expressed doubts about reports issued by PIMS regarding his recovery.

Aleema stated that the family does not accept the government’s account of events and rejected medical assessments released by the hospital. She noted that previous claims suggesting significant improvement in Imran Khan’s eyesight had been disputed by the PTI founder himself after meeting his legal team.

A key concern raised by the family is why Imran Khan required a fifth anti-VEGF injection if his condition had improved substantially. According to Aleema, this question remains unanswered and highlights the need for greater transparency regarding the Imran Khan Eye Treatment process.

She also demanded that Imran be examined by independent specialists at Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad. The PTI leader’s family believes that treatment under independent medical supervision would help address concerns regarding the accuracy and credibility of official health reports.

Beyond medical issues, Aleema alleged that authorities have failed to fully implement court orders allowing regular family meetings. She said six family members were permitted weekly visits under judicial directives, but claimed these rights had not been consistently respected over the past several months.

Hospital officials stated that Imran Khan was brought to PIMS on Monday for a follow-up procedure related to right central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) and was found clinically stable after examination. The debate surrounding Imran Khan Eye Treatment continues as opposition leaders call for independent medical access, while government authorities maintain that proper healthcare is being provided in accordance with legal requirements.
