Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will not be allowed to disrupt peace and law and order in Islamabad under any circumstances.
Speaking to Geo News, Atta Tarar PTI Islamabad said the government would take steps to prevent any attempt to disturb the law and order situation in the capital. He said authorities would stop such activities.
The information minister also urged PTI members to reconsider their approach. He claimed that he had not seen the party conduct a peaceful protest so far, while warning that its actions could have serious consequences.
Atta Tarar further addressed the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan’s sisters. He said they were arrested after authorities received information that they could create a situation affecting public order.
The minister also questioned who makes decisions within PTI. He asked whom the government should negotiate with and questioned the role of party chairman Barrister Gohar in the decision-making process.
Atta Tarar PTI Islamabad comments came amid tensions surrounding the party’s political activities in the capital. He said there was little justification for negotiations with individuals who, in his view, did not have the authority to make decisions for the party.
He also questioned the value of holding talks with PTI representatives, saying the government could not rely on their statements. His remarks reflect the government’s stated position that maintaining law and order in Islamabad remains a priority.
