The ongoing Test match between the Pakistan national cricket team and the Bangladesh national cricket team in Dhaka saw the hosts continue their strong batting performance on the second day of play.
Bangladesh resumed their innings at 301 for 4 after dominating much of the opening day. Pakistan’s bowlers struggled to make major breakthroughs on day one, managing only four wickets in 85 overs.
Pakistan had won the toss and elected to bowl first, but the decision appeared difficult as Bangladesh’s batters handled the bowling attack confidently and kept the scoreboard moving steadily.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Abbas, Hasan Ali, and Nauman Ali claimed one wicket each during the innings.
Bangladesh received major contributions from Najmul Hossain Shanto, who scored an impressive 101 runs, while Mominul Haque added 91 runs to strengthen the home side’s position. Mahmudul Hasan scored 8 runs and Shadman Islam contributed 13.
At the start of day two, Mushfiqur Rahim resumed on 48 while Litton Das continued on 8. However, Litton Das was dismissed for 33 runs by Mohammad Abbas.
Bangladesh lost their fifth wicket at 333 runs, with Mushfiqur Rahim still at the crease. Pakistan will now aim to pick up quick wickets and regain control of the match.
