The Field Marshal Asim Munir Turkiye visit follows last month’s official trip by Turkish Land Forces Commander General Metin Tokel to Pakistan. During that visit, General Tokel held detailed discussions with Pakistan’s military leadership on professional cooperation, evolving regional security challenges, and ways to further deepen defence engagement between the two friendly nations.
At the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, Field Marshal Munir had reaffirmed the deep historical, cultural, and strategic relationship between Pakistan and Turkiye. He also appreciated the continued cooperation between the armed forces and emphasized the importance of maintaining close military coordination in a changing regional environment.
General Tokel also met Pakistan Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu in Islamabad.
