The gold price in Pakistan increased by Rs2,200 per tola on Saturday, reaching Rs456,536 as local prices followed gains in the international bullion market. The latest increase extended gold’s upward movement in the domestic market.
According to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also rose during the day. It increased by Rs1,887 to reach Rs391,406.
The latest rise came a day after gold recorded another significant increase in Pakistan. On Friday, the price of gold had climbed by Rs5,100 per tola to reach Rs454,336, showing continued volatility in the precious metals market.
The gold price in Pakistan moved higher as international bullion prices also gained. The international rate increased by $22 per ounce, reaching $4,341, including a premium of $20, according to the reported market rates.
The international increase provided support to domestic gold prices, which generally track movements in global bullion markets. Investors and consumers continue to closely monitor international prices as well as currency and local market conditions.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction in the domestic market. The price of silver declined by Rs113 per tola, bringing it down to Rs6,826, according to the latest rates.
The latest movement in the gold price in Pakistan highlights continued fluctuations in the precious metals market. With international gold prices remaining elevated, changes in global bullion rates are likely to continue influencing prices for local buyers and investors.
