Veteran Pakistani actress Meera has expressed her displeasure after being referred to as “psycho” during a recent interview about her latest film, Psycho. During the conversation, the interviewer remarked that she had been “psycho before,” played a psycho character in the film, and had still not come out of that role. Meera criticized the remark, stating that artists deserve respect regardless of the characters they portray on screen. She emphasized that portraying a fictional role should not lead to personal labels or assumptions about an actor’s real-life personality.
The actress further stated that she felt disappointed by the way the question was framed. According to Meera, she was not only called “psycho” because of the film but was also personally associated with the character, which she considered unfair and disrespectful.
