Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with Faisal Karim Kundi to discuss KP security challenges, law and order, and ongoing counterterrorism measures in the province. The meeting took place in Islamabad and focused on strengthening coordination between federal and provincial authorities.
During the discussion, both leaders reviewed the overall security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and exchanged views on issues affecting peace and stability. Particular attention was given to the challenges faced by security institutions in maintaining law and order across the province.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi briefed the interior minister on the KP security challenges currently confronting the province. He highlighted concerns related to terrorism, security threats, and the need for continued cooperation between provincial and federal authorities.
The meeting also included a review of counterterrorism initiatives and measures taken by law enforcement agencies to address security concerns. Both sides examined the effectiveness of ongoing operations and discussed ways to further strengthen security arrangements.
Mohsin Naqvi and Faisal Karim Kundi paid tribute to the security forces for carrying out successful intelligence-based operations against militant elements. They also honored the sacrifices made by personnel and civilians who lost their lives in the fight against terrorism.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said the sacrifices rendered by security forces for lasting peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would always be remembered. He reiterated that maintaining peace and stability remains a national priority and requires collective efforts from all stakeholders.
The interior minister assured full federal support to address KP security challenges and promote long-term peace in the province. Both leaders agreed that continued coordination and effective implementation of security measures are essential for ensuring stability and protecting citizens.
