New Anti-Taliban Armed Group Emerges in Afghanistan

A new anti-Taliban armed group Afghanistan has reportedly emerged in the country’s Faryab province, according to source-based reports. The development comes as armed resistance against the Taliban is said to be expanding in different regions of Afghanistan. Sources claim fighters linked to the newly formed Liberation Front carried out an attack on Taliban members in Faryab on Monday.

According to the reported information, opposition to the Taliban government is growing over concerns related to governance, alleged ethnic discrimination, corruption, and restrictions affecting education, employment, and human rights. The reports also state that increasing numbers of Afghans are migrating toward Europe in search of better opportunities.

Sources say the Liberation Front is expected to formally announce its organizational structure and future activities within the coming days. The reported attack in Faryab is being described as one of the group’s first known operations against Taliban forces.

The reports further claim that leaders of other anti-Taliban groups have also announced plans to intensify resistance activities. These include General Sami Sadat, head of the Afghanistan United Front, and General Yasin Zia of the Afghanistan Freedom Front, who have previously spoken about expanding opposition efforts.

Recent reports also mention anti-Taliban operations in the Badakhshan districts of Yaftal, Zebak, and Argo. Faryab has now reportedly become another focal point of resistance activity, while an additional attack on Taliban members was also reported in Ghormach district.

In addition, the sources allege that 186 former Afghan military personnel have been killed by the Taliban over the past three months. These claims have been attributed to sources and could not be independently verified at the time of reporting.

The emergence of a new anti-Taliban armed group Afghanistan highlights reports of continuing security challenges and political tensions in the country. Further official confirmation regarding the group’s structure, activities, and the reported incidents is still awaited.
