Security forces have killed 11 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Nushki district of Balochistan, according to Pakistan’s military media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operation reportedly involved an intense exchange of fire between security personnel and the militants.
According to the ISPR, the operation was conducted on September 25 after intelligence indicated the presence of terrorists in the area. Security forces targeted a suspected militant hideout as part of ongoing counterterrorism operations across Balochistan.
The military’s media wing said that 11 terrorists were killed following heavy firing during the operation. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also reportedly recovered from the militants’ hideouts following the action.
The latest operation comes a day after another security operation was carried out in the region. On September 24, security forces reportedly tracked and destroyed additional terrorist hideouts as part of the ongoing Operation Shaban.
The ISPR said five militants were killed during the September 24 operation after an intense exchange of fire. With the latest casualties, the military said the number of militants killed during Operation Shaban had reached 22.
According to the ISPR, a total of 33 terrorists described by the military as being involved in India-backed militant activity have been killed since September 2026. The military has said that counterterrorism operations are being conducted to disrupt militant networks and eliminate their operational infrastructure.
