Pakistan Strike Early as England Lose Four Wickets for 52 Runs

Pakistan made an impressive start against England in the fourth ODI of the tri-nation series, reducing the visitors to four wickets for 52 runs after winning the toss and choosing to bowl first.

Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi struck in the opening over, dismissing Tom Banton for four runs on the fifth delivery. He returned in the third over to remove Joe Root, who was caught for five runs.

England suffered another setback in the fifth over when Harry Brook was run out, putting further pressure on the visitors during the early stages of their innings.

Haris Rauf then claimed England’s fourth wicket as Pakistan continued to make breakthroughs. At 52 runs for four wickets, England were struggling to build a strong start against Pakistan’s bowling attack.

The match is being played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi said after winning the toss that Shadab Khan and Razaullah were included in the playing XI.

England captain Harry Brook said his team would also have chosen to bat first had they won the toss.

Pakistan players are wearing pink shirts for the match as part of an awareness campaign highlighting breast cancer in women. The initiative aims to draw attention to the importance of awareness and early detection.
