Security forces have killed seven militants in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to security sources. The operations also led to the recovery of weapons and ammunition and the destruction of militant hideouts.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, five militants linked to what authorities call “Fitna al-Hindustan” were killed during an intelligence-based operation in Bara. Security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the militants following the operation.
The forces also destroyed the militants’ hideouts during the operation. The action was carried out after intelligence information pointed to the presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, security forces conducted another operation in the Naukcha area of Balochistan’s Chagai district. The operation was carried out under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 and resulted in the deaths of two militants.
According to the sources, the two militants had allegedly set fire to an empty water bowser in Naukcha before attempting to flee the area. Security forces responded immediately and killed both militants during the operation.
The sources further said the militants were allegedly involved in arson incidents at several locations along the N-40 highway. Authorities also recalled that 11 militants accused of similar acts of sabotage were killed on August 31.
Security forces said operations against militants would continue as part of efforts to counter terrorism across the country. Authorities said the ongoing actions are aimed at reducing militant activity and supporting lasting peace and stability in Pakistan.
