Security forces carried out security forces operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, killing 11 militants in separate intelligence-based actions, according to security sources.
The operations targeted members of Fitna al-Khawarij in South Waziristan and Fitna al-Hindustan in Balochistan. Security sources said the latest actions were conducted as part of ongoing efforts against militant groups in both provinces.
In South Waziristan, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation against suspected Fitna al-Khawarij positions. The operation resulted in the deaths of five militants, according to the sources.
The security forces operations also led to the destruction of militant hideouts in the area. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the targeted locations following the action, security sources said.
Under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, security forces also conducted actions against Fitna al-Hindustan in Balochistan. The operations were carried out in the Ghorandar and Mashkel areas, where six militants were killed.
According to security sources, militants opened fire on a check post in Mashkel before attempting to escape. Security personnel responded promptly and targeted the fleeing militants, resulting in their deaths.
The latest security forces operations come amid continued security actions against militant groups in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Security sources said the operations are based on intelligence and are aimed at disrupting militant activity and securing affected areas.
