Seven Missing After Tourist Jeep Plunges Into Ravine Near Fairy Meadows

According to Gilgit-Baltistan Police, the accident occurred at approximately 3pm on Tattu Raikot Road, a route commonly used by tourists heading to Fairy Meadows. Initial reports indicated that the vehicle lost control before plunging into the ravine and being carried away by the fast-flowing stream.

Officials said all seven occupants of the jeep remain unaccounted for. The missing individuals include six tourists and the driver. Authorities have not reported any survivors so far, while rescue personnel continue efforts in the challenging mountainous terrain.

The police spokesperson stated that two of the tourists belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while four others were residents of Punjab. The driver was identified as a resident of the Dareel area in Diamer district. Further details about the victims have not yet been released.
