Trump’s Air Force One Faced Missile Attack Risk in Türkiye: Report

US intelligence reportedly warned that President Donald Trump’s Air Force One missile threat could emerge during his return from a NATO summit in Türkiye, according to a New York Times report.

The report, citing US officials familiar with the matter, said American intelligence agencies received information from multiple sources about a possible attack involving a surface-to-air missile.

According to the report, officials were concerned that Trump’s Air Force One could potentially be targeted by a missile after the president attended the NATO meeting in Türkiye. The information prompted heightened security concerns around his departure.

US officials also reportedly said that an individual was seen near the NATO summit carrying a shoulder-fired missile system. However, the available intelligence did not establish that an attack was definitely being prepared.

The report further claimed that Iranian authorities were aware of Trump’s location in Ankara, including the building and floor where he was staying. Amid concerns about a possible Iranian attack, Trump was reportedly moved secretly using a military aircraft.

According to the New York Times report, Israel had provided the US administration with intelligence regarding a possible Iranian attack. Israeli officials reportedly warned that a shoulder-fired missile could pose a threat to Air Force One.

No missile was ultimately fired at the aircraft, according to the report. The credibility of the intelligence warning and the precise nature of the alleged threat remain unclear, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding the reported Trump Air Force One missile threat.
