A Turkish Air Force F-16 fighter jet crashed during a routine training flight in northwestern Türkiye, with the pilot safely ejecting before the aircraft went down.
Türkiye’s Defence Ministry confirmed the Turkish F-16 crash, saying the incident occurred in Yalova province during a scheduled training flight.
According to the ministry, the pilot managed to eject from the aircraft in time and survived the incident. Officials said no fatalities were reported as a result of the crash.
The F-16 was carrying out a routine training mission when the accident occurred. Authorities have not yet provided details about what happened immediately before the aircraft crashed.
