3.4 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Karachi and Nearby Areas

The Karachi earthquake shook parts of the city and surrounding areas, creating brief panic among residents as light tremors were felt across multiple neighborhoods. The Karachi earthquake was recorded with a magnitude of 3.4 by seismic monitoring authorities.

According to the seismic center, the Karachi earthquake originated near Malir, located approximately 24 kilometers northwest of the city’s main urban zone. The shallow movement caused mild shaking across nearby regions.

Officials confirmed that the Karachi earthquake had a depth of around 10 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface, which is typically associated with low to moderate intensity tremors.

Residents of Karachi and nearby localities reported feeling sudden shaking, prompting many to step outside their homes and workplaces as a precautionary response to the Karachi earthquake.

Emergency monitoring teams were immediately activated to assess the situation, but initial reports indicated no major structural damage or injuries linked to the Karachi earthquake.

Seismologists explained that such low-intensity Karachi earthquake activity is often caused by minor tectonic adjustments and is not uncommon in the region’s geological structure.

Authorities continue to monitor aftershocks, while reassuring the public that the Karachi earthquake situation remains under control and no emergency alerts have been issued.
