Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said that nearly 100 American service members have been injured since July 7. He added that the injuries ranged in severity, but about 96 percent of the wounded personnel have already returned to active duty.

The United States has already acknowledged the deaths of three troops in earlier Iranian attacks, while one soldier remains missing. The military also confirmed that an American service member was killed during an operation in northern Iraq on July 18, underscoring the continuing risks faced by US forces in the region.
