Iran claimed responsibility for an Iran Amazon data center strike in Bahrain, saying it targeted infrastructure linked to the U.S. technology company. The claim came after recent U.S. airstrikes on Iranian territory and has not been independently verified.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it launched several cruise missiles against infrastructure serving an Amazon data center in Bahrain. According to the statement, the attack was a direct response to U.S. strikes on the Darkhovin Nuclear Power Plant, which Iran described as a civilian facility under construction.
The IRGC stated that the targeted infrastructure was destroyed during the operation. It said the Iran Amazon data center strike was intended as retaliation for what Tehran called an attack on a non-military nuclear project. No independent evidence has confirmed the extent of any damage.
Neither Bahraini authorities nor Amazon immediately commented on the reported incident. Officials also did not confirm whether any facilities were damaged. Independent verification of the Iranian claim was unavailable at the time of reporting.
