Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly returned to the United Kingdom with their children, Archie and Lilibet, after spending around six years living in the United States.
According to reports, the couple and their two children travelled from California on a private flight and arrived at Birmingham Airport. Their return has attracted considerable attention because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have largely based their family life in the US since stepping back from royal duties.
The couple is not expected to resume official responsibilities as working members of the British royal family. Instead, reports suggest that they intend to maintain a private and non-working status while spending more time in the UK.
The Cotswolds, an area outside London, is reportedly being considered as the family’s main base. The region offers a quieter setting away from the capital and has previously attracted several high-profile residents. Their children are also understood to have been enrolled in school, with the new academic year expected to begin soon.
Harry and Meghan moved to the United States after a highly publicised period of tension with members of the royal family. Their decision to step away from royal duties became one of the biggest developments involving the monarchy in recent years.
