The Mir Raza murder case has entered a new phase as a judicial commission formally began its investigation in Karachi. The commission has also issued notices to several parties connected to the case.
The commission is investigating the killing of young businessman Mir Raza, who was murdered in Karachi. Officials have started proceedings to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident and gather relevant information.
The judicial commission issued notices to Mir Raza’s family and their lawyer, Jibran Nasir, asking them to appear on August 28. A notice has also been sent to the focal person appointed by the Sindh government.
The Mir Raza murder case has already triggered questions about the investigation process. The family’s legal representative had previously opposed the Sindh government’s decision to establish a judicial commission.
Speaking to Geo News, lawyer Jibran Nasir said Mir Raza’s family would approach the High Court regarding the formation of a joint investigation team. He said the family would also oppose the judicial commission.
Nasir claimed that the commission was formed without informing Mir Raza’s family. He also questioned the process, saying the terms of reference for the commission had not been made public.
The Mir Raza murder case investigation will now proceed as the commission begins hearing from relevant parties. The notices issued for August 28 are expected to provide an opportunity for the family and other stakeholders to present their positions before the commission.
