US Claims China Shifting Away from Iran After Trump Beijing Visit

At the United Nations, Michael Waltz claimed that China has begun distancing itself from Iran following Donald Trump’s visit to Beijing.

Speaking at the UN, the US envoy stated that China has reportedly agreed that Iran should not pursue nuclear weapons and should avoid imposing tolls in the Strait of Hormuz.

He further claimed that Trump’s visit has triggered a shift in China’s foreign policy approach toward Iran.

However, China’s ambassador to the United Nations did not confirm these claims and said that the timing and content of the proposed UN Security Council resolution are inappropriate.

The Chinese representative emphasized the need for all sides to engage in sincere and constructive negotiations to reduce tensions in the region.

He warned that pushing for resolutions at this stage could further complicate an already fragile geopolitical situation.

Analysts believe that rising tensions between the US, China, and Iran could reshape diplomatic alignments in the Middle East and beyond.
