Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that no power in the world can shake the foundations of a nation when its people stand united. He stated that the unity displayed by Pakistan during Marka-e-Haq became the country’s greatest strength.
In a video message released on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, Ishaq Dar described the day as a defining chapter in Pakistan’s national history. He said the occasion represents courage, unity, and unwavering determination rather than just another date on the calendar.
The foreign minister paid tribute to the Pakistani nation as well as the officers and soldiers of the armed forces. He praised the sacrifices and commitment shown by the people and security forces during difficult times and said national solidarity played a decisive role in confronting external challenges.
Ishaq Dar stated that Pakistan exercised its right to self-defense by giving a balanced and firm response to aggression. He claimed that several military targets, including Indian fighter jets, were successfully engaged during the confrontation, sending a strong message regarding Pakistan’s sovereignty.
He further said that under the leadership of the Field Marshal, Pakistan responded decisively to hostile actions and demonstrated its capability to defend national interests. According to him, the country made it clear to the world that it would never compromise on its independence and territorial integrity.
Highlighting diplomatic efforts, Ishaq Dar noted that Pakistan actively presented its stance before the international community through effective diplomacy. He said Pakistan had shown restraint despite aggression and continued to advocate for peace and stability in the region.
The deputy prime minister emphasized that lasting peace in South Asia is impossible without resolving core disputes, including the Kashmir issue, according to United Nations resolutions. He added that Pakistan remains committed to regional peace while staying fully prepared to respond strongly to any threat against national security.
