Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a special traffic diversion plan for citizens in connection with the Marka-e-Haq events taking place in the federal capital.
According to the traffic advisory, several major roads in Islamabad will remain closed or partially restricted from 6 PM to 12 AM to ensure smooth management of the events and public movement.
As part of the plan, Srinagar Highway will remain closed for traffic from Korianwala Chowk to Peshawar Morr. In addition, Faisal Avenue from Faizabad to Khayaban Chowk on the Islamabad Expressway will also remain closed during the scheduled hours.
Motorists traveling from the motorway toward Murree have been advised to use Ninth Avenue and Colonel Sher Khan Road as alternate routes. Travelers coming from Murree and Bhara Kahu toward the motorway should use Murree Road and IJP Road.
Citizens traveling from the Red Zone to Rawalpindi have been instructed to use Margalla Road or Jinnah Avenue, while those entering Islamabad from Rawalpindi are advised to use Fakhar-e-Alam Road and Ninth Avenue.
Similarly, commuters traveling from Murree to Rawat should use Park Road and Lehtrar Road. Traffic moving from Peshawar Morr toward Rawat has been directed to use Ninth Avenue, Stadium Road, and Rawal Road.
The Islamabad Traffic Police also announced that LTV vehicles will be diverted from Rawat toward Rawalpindi between 5 PM and midnight to reduce congestion on main routes.
Furthermore, authorities stated that all types of heavy traffic will be prohibited from entering Islamabad from 4 AM to 12 AM on May 10. Citizens have been advised to follow official traffic updates and use alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.
