Pakistan Air Chief Meets Turkish Air Force Chief, Agrees on Training Cooperation

Pakistan Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu has met his Turkish counterpart General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu during an official visit to Türkiye, where both sides agreed to enhance Pakistan Turkey air force cooperation in training and defense collaboration.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Air Chief was received with a guard of honor upon his arrival at the Turkish Air Force Headquarters. The meeting focused on expanding joint training programs and increasing the scope of bilateral air exercises.

During the discussions, the Turkish Air Force Chief appreciated the role of the Pakistan Air Force in training Turkish pilots, highlighting the strong professional ties between the two air forces. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening long-standing defense relations.

The Pakistan Turkey air force cooperation also included discussions with Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler, where both leaders reviewed broader defense ties and future strategic collaboration between the two countries.

In addition, the Air Chief met Selçuk Bayraktar, Chief Technology Officer of Baykar Technologies, to explore cooperation in unmanned aerial systems and advanced defense technologies, including drones and aerospace innovation.

Officials from both countries emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in aerospace development, joint training programs, and modern warfare capabilities to meet emerging security challenges.

ISPR stated that Pakistan and Türkiye have agreed to further strengthen defense and aerospace collaboration, reflecting their deep-rooted strategic and historical partnership.
