The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Saudi Cricket Federation have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote cricket and develop sports infrastructure, including the construction of a modern international-standard cricket stadium in Jeddah.

The agreement was signed by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and the Chairman of the Saudi Cricket Federation. Both sides expressed their commitment to working together to enhance cricket infrastructure, improve operational standards, and strengthen the overall development of the sport in Saudi Arabia.

According to the MoU, the two cricket bodies will collaborate in multiple areas, including infrastructure development, capacity building, and the promotion of cricket at both grassroots and professional levels. The initiative also aims to improve training systems and create new opportunities for emerging players.

Speaking on the occasion, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that the Pakistan Cricket Board is proud to support the growth of cricket in Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that the partnership would not only help develop the sport but also further strengthen the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The agreement goes beyond the construction of a stadium, focusing on long-term development including player development programs, coaching initiatives, talent identification, and providing young cricketers with better exposure and opportunities.

The Saudi Cricket Federation Chairman described the partnership as a major step toward building a strong foundation for cricket in the Kingdom. He said the project is aimed at expanding the sport’s popularity and ensuring sustainable growth for future generations of players.
