Director General FIA Dr. Usman Anwar and UNODC Country Office Pakistan Representative Troels Vester co-chaired a high-level coordination meeting aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s response to human trafficking and migrant smuggling.
The meeting brought together development partners, diplomatic missions, and international organizations to discuss collaborative strategies, strengthen institutional coordination, and reinforce efforts against organized criminal networks involved in trafficking and smuggling activities.
Participants emphasized the importance of a unified response, stronger international partnerships, and strategic cooperation to effectively combat these transnational crimes and protect vulnerable populations.

Speaking on the occasion, officials reaffirmed their commitment to improving coordination mechanisms, enhancing capacity-building initiatives, and promoting information sharing among stakeholders to address emerging challenges related to human trafficking and migrant smuggling.
The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to continue joint efforts for a safer and more secure environment through sustained collaboration and collective action.
