Pakistan has indicated that progress on the Iran US deal Pakistan is expected in the coming days, as Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that “good news” regarding the agreement could emerge soon. Speaking in informal remarks in Lahore, he suggested that diplomatic efforts between Iran and the United States are moving toward a possible resolution.
Naqvi stated that the long-standing tensions between Iran and the United States could soon be resolved, adding that peace between the two countries appears increasingly achievable. He emphasized that Pakistan is closely following the developments and expects positive outcomes within a short timeframe.
According to the interior minister, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Field Marshal will represent Pakistan in the ongoing diplomatic process. He did not provide further details but stressed Pakistan’s active role in facilitating dialogue.
The minister also highlighted Pakistan’s economic management, saying that fuel prices were stabilized through careful planning. He warned that without such measures, petrol prices could have increased sharply, potentially reaching unprecedented levels.
His remarks come amid growing regional diplomatic activity, with discussions reportedly focused on reducing tensions and promoting stability in the Middle East. Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also stated that Iran and the United States are very close to finalizing a peace agreement. He said Pakistan is preparing for electronic signing of the deal and expects formalization within the next 24 hours.
The prime minister added that technical-level negotiations are expected to take place next week, expressing gratitude to both countries for their constructive engagement. He said the potential agreement could lay the foundation for long-term peace, stability, and cooperation in the region.
