Azad Kashmir Elections: PML-N Issues Tickets for 37 Out of 45 Constituencies

The Azad Kashmir elections campaign gained momentum as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) issued party tickets for 37 out of 45 constituencies. Party sources said consultations for the remaining eight seats have entered the final phase.

According to sources, the party leadership is working to finalize candidates for the remaining constituencies, with official announcements expected within the next two days. Discussions are ongoing with key political figures and local leaders.

PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have assigned senior party figures Rana Sanaullah and Amir Muqam important responsibilities related to election management and candidate coordination.

Sources indicated that arrangements regarding the inclusion of Chaudhry Muhammad Azhar Sadiq in PML-N and his participation in the elections have been settled. Meanwhile, Yasin Gulshan is likely to receive the party ticket from Abbaspur.

Former minister Chaudhry Shahzad has also reportedly decided to join PML-N from Lichhrat. In addition, Malik Nawaz is considered a strong contender for the party ticket from Raj Mahal Kotli.

For Rawalakot’s LA-22 constituency, Sardar Javed Sharif is among the names being considered for nomination. Party leadership is reviewing potential candidates and assessing electoral prospects across various constituencies.

The Azad Kashmir elections are expected to become more competitive once the remaining tickets are finalized. PML-N has also decided to maintain contact with leaders who do not receive party tickets in an effort to preserve party unity and organizational discipline ahead of the polls.
