Trump Unveils New Air Force One Converted from Qatar Luxury Jet

US President Donald Trump has officially unveiled a Trump new Air Force One aircraft, a former Qatar-owned Boeing 747 transformed into a temporary presidential jet.

The aircraft, described by Trump as a “flying White House,” features a redesigned exterior with navy blue and red accents, replacing the traditional Kennedy-era color scheme used on earlier presidential planes.

The new jet will serve as an interim Air Force One because Boeing’s specially built VC-25B aircraft have been delayed until 2028. It will support presidential travel during the transition period.

Trump showcased the aircraft at Joint Base Andrews, highlighting its luxury interior and upgraded design while addressing US Air Force personnel during the unveiling ceremony.

The US Air Force said the jet will operate as a “bridge aircraft” and has undergone significant modifications to meet strict presidential security standards.

The aircraft was originally gifted by Qatar, a move that has raised ethical and legal discussions due to the high value of the donation from a foreign government.

Officials confirmed that the aircraft will eventually be retired from presidential service once new Boeing jets are delivered, though it may later be donated to a presidential library.

The Trump new Air Force One is expected to be used for upcoming international visits, including NATO and Asia-Pacific summits, marking a temporary but high-profile addition to the presidential fleet.
