The first round of four-party discussions brought together representatives from the United States and Iran, with Pakistan and Qatar acting as mediators. Dar also acknowledged the positive role played by both Washington and Tehran. He commended the United States and Iran for maintaining a commitment to diplomatic engagement and thanked Qatar for its close cooperation with Pakistan throughout the mediation process. According to him, continued dialogue remains essential for achieving long-term regional stability.
Pakistan’s diplomatic involvement will continue as technical discussions move forward. Dar confirmed that a team from the Foreign Office will remain in Switzerland throughout the week to participate in technical-level meetings aimed at implementing understandings reached during the US-Iran negotiations.
