Kohlu Earthquake: 4.3 Magnitude Tremors Felt Again in Balochistan

Residents of Kohlu in Balochistan another earthquake after fresh tremors were recorded in the region. According to the seismic monitoring authorities, the earthquake measured 4.3 on the Richter scale, causing concern among local residents.

The earthquake originated at a depth of 15 kilometers, while its epicenter was located approximately 40 kilometers north of Kohlu. The moderate tremor was felt in surrounding areas, prompting people to move outdoors as a precaution.

Despite the noticeable shaking, officials have confirmed that no casualties or property damage have been reported so far. Local authorities continue to monitor the situation and remain prepared for any emergency response if required.

This latest seismic activity follows a series of earthquakes that struck Kohlu just a day earlier. On Friday, the region experienced three separate earthquakes, raising concerns about continued underground seismic movement.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the first earthquake occurred at 10:25 AM, followed by a second tremor at 10:58 AM. Later in the evening, a third and stronger earthquake struck at 4:49 PM with a magnitude of 5.1 and a depth of 17 kilometers.

The stronger earthquake was also felt in nearby districts, including Zhob, Barkhan, and Rakhni, where residents reported brief but noticeable tremors. However, authorities did not receive reports of significant damage from those areas either.
