Security Forces Kill 32 Terrorists in KP and Balochistan: ISPR

Pakistan’s security forces killed 32 terrorists in KP and Balochistan during intelligence-based operations over the past 24 hours, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The military said the operations targeted militant networks in both provinces as part of the country’s ongoing counterterrorism campaign.

ISPR stated that multiple intelligence-based area sanitisation and targeted operations were carried out in Khyber district on July 28 and 29. During the operations, 24 militants identified by the state as members of Fitna-al-Khawarij were killed while security forces continued clearance activities in the area.

In Balochistan, security forces conducted several intelligence-based operations in Nushki, where eight militants identified by the state as members of Fitna-al-Hindustan were killed after what ISPR described as an intense exchange of fire. Weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices were also recovered and destroyed.

The military said sanitisation operations are continuing to eliminate any remaining militants and their facilitators. ISPR added that the nationwide counterterrorism campaign under the Azm-i-Istehkam strategy would continue to dismantle networks involved in violence and militancy across Pakistan.

The latest operations come as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan continue to face persistent security challenges. Earlier this month, security forces launched Operation Shaban following the deadly attack on a police post in Ziarat that resulted in the deaths of 27 police officers.

Authorities also initiated Operation Al-Azm after an attack on a passenger coach travelling from Quetta to Karachi left three people dead and several others injured. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces recently foiled an attempted attack on a joint police checkpost in Tank, killing 12 militants.

Recent security assessments have highlighted an increase in militant violence, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Officials say intelligence-led operations will continue to enhance security, disrupt militant networks, and improve stability in affected regions.
