ICC T20I Rankings: Sahibzada Farhan Climbs to No. 2, Surpasses Abhishek Sharma

The latest ICC T20I Rankings have brought encouraging news for Pakistan, with opener Sahibzada Farhan climbing to the second spot among T20I batters. His impressive rise sees him overtake India’s Abhishek Sharma, highlighting his consistent performances in the shortest format of international cricket.

According to the updated rankings, Sahibzada Farhan has accumulated 848 rating points, placing him second in the world. India’s Abhishek Sharma has slipped to third with 819 points, while Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan continues to lead the batting rankings with 910 rating points, maintaining a comfortable advantage at the top.

The revised ICC T20I Rankings were released after India completed a dominant 3-0 series victory over Zimbabwe. The conclusion of the series resulted in several changes across the batting and bowling charts, with Farhan’s promotion emerging as one of the most notable developments.

Pakistan’s batting lineup also features several other players in the latest standings. Young opener Saim Ayub occupies 41st place with 560 rating points, while former captain Babar Azam is ranked 43rd with 555 points. T20I captain Salman Ali Agha follows closely in 45th position with 547 points, reflecting Pakistan’s continued presence among the world’s leading white-ball batters.

In the bowling rankings, Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed has retained his position as the second-ranked T20I bowler with 736 rating points. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains at the top of the rankings, while England leg-spinner Adil Rashid continues to hold third place.

Pakistan also enjoys representation elsewhere in the bowling list. Mohammad Nawaz remains in the top 10, while fast bowler Salman Mirza has climbed one place to 15th. Left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has also improved by one position, moving up to 30th in the latest rankings after a series of consistent performances.
