Islamabad: A Saudi investor group has expressed interest in investing $10 billion in Pakistan, signaling growing confidence in the country’s investment potential. The interest was conveyed during a meeting between Federal Minister for the Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh and a high-level delegation comprising business leaders, overseas Pakistanis, and media representatives.
The meeting focused on exploring investment opportunities across various sectors of Pakistan’s economy. The minister highlighted the government’s commitment to attracting foreign direct investment by facilitating investors and improving the overall business environment.
The delegation included Rashid Khan Niazi, former Director of Current Affairs at PTV Islamabad; Muhammad Tariq Ghaus, Vice Chairman and President of Falcon Vision Company, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Zulfiqar, Business Head of Falcon Vision Pakistan; Dr. Ismat Ullah Khan, PhD in Mass Communication and Country Head of Falcon Vision; overseas Pakistanis Colonel Jamshed and Atiq, who are based in South Korea; as well as representatives from Pakistan’s luxury automobile sector.
During the discussions, participants exchanged views on investment opportunities in multiple industries, including trade, infrastructure, technology, and other high-growth sectors. The delegation expressed optimism about Pakistan’s economic potential and showed keen interest in strengthening bilateral investment cooperation.
A Saudi investor group informed the meeting that it is considering an investment of $10 billion in Pakistan. In response, the government assured the delegation of its full support and pledged to provide all necessary facilitation to ensure a smooth investment process.
The Board of Investment reiterated its commitment to creating a business-friendly environment for international investors through streamlined procedures, policy support, and close coordination with relevant institutions. Officials emphasized that foreign investment remains a key priority for promoting economic growth, generating employment, and strengthening Pakistan’s economy.
