Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Member of the National Assembly Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has passed away after battling a prolonged illness, according to his family. His death has saddened political circles, supporters, and colleagues across the country.
Family members confirmed that Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar had been unwell for several weeks before his passing. They said he had been receiving medical treatment, and his health had remained critical in recent days.
According to the family, the veteran politician suffered a brain hemorrhage and underwent surgery in an effort to stabilize his condition. Despite medical care, he could not recover and passed away.
Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar was regarded as an experienced political figure within the PML-N and represented his constituency in the National Assembly. Throughout his political career, he remained actively involved in public affairs and constituency development.
He was also the father of Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar, making the Channar family a well-known name in Punjab’s political landscape. His passing is being viewed as a significant loss for his family and supporters.
