Pakistan has welcomed the latest progress under the Gaza Peace Plan, expressing hope that the recent developments will help advance lasting peace and political stability in the region. The Foreign Office said the country supports ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at implementing the commitments outlined in the peace initiative.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi praised the mediation efforts of the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye for facilitating the recent progress. He said Pakistan expects these developments to contribute to the full implementation of all commitments under the Gaza Peace Plan through continued international cooperation.
According to the Foreign Office, Pakistan believes these efforts should help secure the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination. The spokesperson stressed that the political process should be credible, time-bound, and conducted in accordance with international law, international legitimacy, and relevant United Nations resolutions.
The statement further emphasized that the peace process should ultimately lead to the establishment of an independent, sovereign, contiguous, and viable State of Palestine. Pakistan reiterated its longstanding position that the future Palestinian state should be based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also welcomed the developments in a statement shared on the social media platform X. He appreciated the mediating countries for their diplomatic engagement and described the recent progress as an important step toward advancing the objectives of the Gaza Peace Plan.
The prime minister said Pakistan hopes that practical measures will now follow to implement all agreed commitments. He also expressed optimism that the ongoing diplomatic efforts would encourage a peaceful political settlement and strengthen regional stability through dialogue.
