A major development has emerged in the Abdullah Tahir murder case, with police arresting a woman allegedly linked to the killing of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ticket holder Abdullah Tahir. According to police, the suspect was arrested in Sialkot and subsequently shifted to Lahore for further investigation.
Police said preliminary investigations indicate that the woman allegedly used a honey-trap strategy to establish contact with Abdullah Tahir’s driver. Investigators further claim that the arrested woman was a friend of the alleged shooter and had allegedly used similar tactics to trap several other individuals in the past.
According to police, another female accomplice allegedly contacted Abdullah Tahir’s driver through a social media application. On the day of the incident, the driver reportedly had a video call with the suspect after reaching the clinic. Investigators believe the suspects used the call to confirm Abdullah Tahir’s presence at the location.
Police further said that the suspects allegedly used a drone camera to monitor and track Abdullah Tahir before the attack. Investigators are examining the available evidence to determine how the alleged surveillance was conducted and how it was connected to the planning and execution of the murder.
