ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has decided to introduce a new digital system for the Hajj 2027 private Hajj operation, according to sources. The proposed system will be aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Nusuk Masar system and is aimed at bringing greater central coordination to the private Hajj process.
Under the proposed arrangements, private Hajj bookings will no longer be handled solely through private Hajj operators. Instead, the booking process is expected to be conducted through a system facilitated and overseen by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, marking a significant change in the management of Pakistan’s private Hajj scheme.
For the first time, the ministry is expected to directly supervise the private Hajj operation alongside the government Hajj scheme. The move is aimed at strengthening administrative oversight and creating a more centralized mechanism for managing services and arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims travelling under the private scheme.
According to sources, the Pak Hajj App will serve as the primary digital platform for operating the private Hajj scheme. The application is expected to facilitate various stages of the Hajj process, including booking and other services, while allowing the ministry to maintain greater oversight of the arrangements.
The proposed digital framework is also intended to bring the private Hajj operation closer to Saudi Arabia’s digital procedures. By aligning the system with the Nusuk Masar framework, Pakistani authorities aim to improve coordination between the country’s Hajj arrangements and the systems used for managing pilgrims and services in Saudi Arabia.
