ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has described the Makkah Mutual Defense Agreement as a major milestone in Pakistan’s history, saying the agreement will further strengthen the country’s defense capabilities.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari termed the Makkah Mutual Defense Agreement a historic development. He said the agreement would help enhance defense cooperation and contribute to strengthening the collective security capabilities of the participating countries.
Bilawal said the agreement represents an important step toward ensuring a secure future for Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye. He emphasized that closer cooperation among the three countries could play a significant role in addressing shared security concerns.

The PPP chairman further stated that the Makkah Mutual Defense Agreement would strengthen Pakistan’s defense capabilities while contributing to greater security and stability in the region. He described the agreement as an important development in bilateral and multilateral defense cooperation.
Bilawal Bhutto also expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister and Field Marshal for their role in making the agreement possible. He praised the efforts that contributed to reaching the defense arrangement and described the development as significant for Pakistan’s national security interests.
He further described the defense agreement as a historic document for regional and global peace. According to Bilawal, enhanced defense cooperation between the participating countries could contribute to greater stability and strengthen efforts aimed at promoting peace.
