Pakistan Wins World Youth Scrabble Team Title for Seventh Time

Pakistan delivered an impressive performance at the 21st World Youth Scrabble Championship, securing the global team title for the seventh time. The country’s young players produced strong results across several categories, reaffirming Pakistan’s position among the leading nations in youth Scrabble.

Pakistan finished first in the team competition, while its players also collected several major trophies in the individual events. The overall performance highlighted the depth of young Scrabble talent representing the country at the international championship.

Australia’s Dianth Fernando emerged as the individual world champion. Pakistan also enjoyed a strong showing in the individual standings, with three of its players managing to secure places among the top 10 competitors.

In the Under-16 category, Pakistan’s Ahmed Salman captured the world title. Another Pakistani player, Ahad S. Fatemi, also secured a championship victory by winning the Under-14 category.

Pakistan continued its successful run in the younger age groups, with Mustafa Farhan finishing second in the Under-12 category. His podium finish added another achievement to Pakistan’s impressive medal and trophy tally at the event.

The youngest member of the Pakistani squad, Taimur Wasim, also claimed a world title after winning the Under-10 category. Taimur had previously impressed on the international stage by winning the Under-8 world title last year.

The 21st World Youth Scrabble Championship featured 183 players representing 11 countries. Pakistan’s team victory, combined with its strong individual performances across multiple age groups, further strengthened the country’s reputation as a major force in international youth Scrabble.
