Imran Khan Receives Eight Books in Jail, Returns Four After Reading Them

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has been provided with books in jail following directions from the Islamabad High Court. Jail authorities confirmed that the books were delivered to the former prime minister in accordance with the court’s instructions.

According to the jail’s deputy superintendent, the administration received eight books from the Islamabad High Court. The court had directed officials to make the books available to Imran Khan during his incarceration.

The deputy superintendent said all eight books were subsequently handed over to the PTI founder. Jail officials complied with the court’s instructions and ensured that the requested reading material reached Imran Khan.

However, Imran Khan reportedly returned four of the eight books after informing jail officials that he had already read them. As a result, only the books he had not previously read remained with him.

The development highlights a recent issue concerning Imran Khan’s access to reading material in jail. The provision of books followed the Islamabad High Court’s directions regarding facilities and reading material available to the former prime minister.

Jail officials confirmed that the four books returned by Imran Khan were not retained because he was already familiar with their contents. The remaining books were kept by him for reading.
