Rajab Butt sexual assault case

Lahore Court Sets August 18 for Rajab Butt Indictment

A Lahore sessions court has summoned TikToker Rajab Butt and four other suspects for indictment on August 18 in an alleged Rajab Butt sexual assault case involving a social media influencer.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafaryab heard a private complaint filed against Butt and the four other suspects. The court directed all five accused to appear on August 18 for formal framing of charges.

The social media influencer filed the private complaint in 2025, alleging that she was subjected to sexual assault and later blackmailed by the suspects. The allegations remain contested, with the accused rejecting the charges.

According to the complaint, the woman has cited WhatsApp conversations, a medical report and a statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure as evidence supporting her allegations.

The five suspects have already secured pre-arrest bail from a sessions court. The upcoming hearing will focus on formally framing charges, after which the legal proceedings will continue according to the court’s directions.

The case comes amid other legal proceedings involving Butt. Last month, Nawab Town police registered another case against him and his alleged accomplices over claims of attacking women and opening fire during an altercation at a cafe.

The latest Rajab Butt sexual assault case adds to the TikToker’s ongoing legal challenges. He has also faced proceedings in cases involving allegations of hurting religious sentiments, promoting online gambling and physical assault.
