Mastung Attack: Six Security Personnel Injured in Firing on Balochistan Interior Minister’s Convoy

Six security personnel were injured in a Mastung attack when armed men opened fire on the security convoy of Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau. The minister remained safe during the incident.

According to the Additional Deputy Commissioner Mastung, the firing took place while the convoy was travelling from Kalat toward Quetta. Security personnel responded to the attack, resulting in an exchange of fire.

The official said six members of the security squad sustained injuries during the incident. The Balochistan interior minister was unharmed and continued to remain safe following the attack.

The incident has raised security concerns along the route between Kalat and Quetta, where government officials and security personnel regularly travel. Details about the identities of the attackers and the motive behind the firing were not immediately available.

Following the Mastung attack, Interior Minister Ziaullah Langau said such attacks would not weaken their resolve. He maintained that acts of violence could not intimidate him or discourage him from carrying out his responsibilities.

Langau also expressed his commitment to Pakistan and said the attack would not diminish his determination. Security officials continue to assess the situation as authorities investigate the firing and work to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
