Security forces have killed seven terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Kharan, Balochistan, according to security sources. The operation was conducted in the Lajay area after intelligence information indicated the presence of suspected militants.
According to security sources, the operation targeted members of Fitna al-Khawarij, with seven terrorists reportedly killed and several others injured during the action. Security personnel conducted the operation after receiving information about the group’s presence in the area.
Authorities said that modern weapons, ammunition and other military equipment were recovered from the terrorists’ hideouts. The recovered material has been taken into custody as security agencies continue efforts to investigate the network and its activities.
Security sources further stated that one motorcycle and two vehicles were also found at the hideouts. The locations used by the militants were subsequently destroyed by security forces to prevent them from being used again.
According to the sources, the terrorists were allegedly involved in various militant activities, including extortion, kidnapping, targeted killings and planning suicide attacks. The operation was carried out as part of broader counterterrorism efforts in the province.
Security sources said that operations under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 are continuing across the country to eliminate terrorist networks and prevent further attacks. Intelligence-based operations are being conducted to identify militant hideouts and disrupt their activities.
