China Says Sanctions and Pressure on Iran Are Not a Solution

China has said sanctions and pressure on Iran will not resolve the ongoing Middle East conflict. Beijing urged all sides to pursue political and diplomatic solutions instead.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian made the remarks during a news briefing. He responded after the United States urged governments to help isolate Iran’s economy.

Washington has called for wider international efforts to increase economic pressure on Iran. The move comes amid continuing tensions and conflict across the Middle East.

China rejected the idea that economic sanctions could resolve the wider crisis. Beijing said such measures would not help address the underlying issues.

Lin Jian called on all relevant parties to take responsible measures. He urged them to resolve the problem through political and diplomatic means.

China’s position comes as international concerns remain high over instability in the Middle East. The country has repeatedly supported dialogue and diplomatic engagement in regional disputes.

The comments underline Beijing’s opposition to sanctions and pressure on Iran as a way to resolve the crisis. China instead called for responsible action and diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions.
