US exit from Iran war

Trump Signals Possible US Exit from Iran War Soon

The United States may soon scale back its involvement in the ongoing conflict with Iran, President Donald Trump indicated on Tuesday. Speaking to reporters, Trump suggested a potential US exit from Iran war could happen within two to three weeks, even without a formal deal with Tehran.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio echoed the president’s optimism, stating that Washington could “see the finish line” and that direct talks with Iranian leaders may occur in the near future. The announcement reflects a shift in U.S. strategy after months of heavy regional conflict.

Despite these statements, attacks continue across the Middle East. Drones struck fuel tanks at Kuwait’s international airport, causing significant fires, while a cruise missile hit a tanker off Qatar’s coast. Authorities reported additional fires at facilities in Bahrain.

Iran also faced airstrikes by U.S. and Israeli forces, including explosions in Tehran and targeted strikes on the Shahid Haghani Port. Iranian state media reported rallies and pro-government demonstrations in response, emphasizing national resilience amid ongoing hostilities.

The conflict has escalated beyond Iran, with Yemen’s Houthis joining missile attacks on Israel alongside Hezbollah and Iranian-backed groups. Israel’s military reported interceptions of incoming threats, while casualties and damage continue to rise in Lebanon.

The potential US exit from Iran war has significant economic implications. Oil prices fell more than 3% as markets reacted to the news, while Asian and global stock indices showed gains. Rising fuel prices and energy disruptions have been a growing concern for U.S. households.

Experts say that while Trump’s announcement may signal de-escalation, the situation remains volatile. Gulf states are calling for Iran’s regional capabilities to be reduced, and any U.S. withdrawal may require careful coordination to ensure stability and secure key waterways like the Strait of Hormuz.
