Pakistan and China have reinforced their economic partnership with renewed discussions on expanding Pakistan China investment in key sectors including energy, industry, agriculture, and alternative technologies.
President Asif Ali Zardari met the CEO of Hangzhou Jinjiang Group during his visit to China, where he encouraged the company to increase its investment footprint in Pakistan. The meeting focused on long-term cooperation and new development opportunities.
The discussions highlighted major areas for Pakistan China investment, particularly water purification systems, electric vehicle battery technology, and alternative energy solutions. Both sides explored ways to strengthen collaboration in these emerging sectors.
The Chinese company briefed the president on its operations, stating that it is among the top 100 business groups in China and already involved in several ongoing projects in Pakistan. This reflects growing bilateral economic engagement.

President Zardari emphasized that Pakistan is actively promoting foreign investment across multiple industries. He noted that the country offers strong potential for international companies, especially in sustainable energy and modern industrial development.
He further stated that Sindh province will facilitate foreign investors through all possible means under the Public-Private Partnership framework, aiming to create a more investor-friendly environment for Pakistan China investment.
The meeting also underscored the importance of agriculture and energy sectors in Pakistan’s long-term economic growth strategy, with both sides agreeing on expanding cooperation in infrastructure and technology development.
Officials from both countries, including senior Pakistani ministers, attended the meeting, signaling strong political support for expanding Pakistan China investment ties in the coming years.
