PSL success Mohsin Naqvi remained the central message as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the Pakistan Super League was successfully conducted despite difficult circumstances. He credited divine support and strong public interest for the smooth completion of the tournament.
Speaking informally to journalists in Lahore, Naqvi said the event took place during one of the most challenging periods, yet was completed successfully with the help of Allah. He highlighted that cricket fans continued to show strong enthusiasm throughout the league.
He noted that the PSL final attracted a crowd of around 32,600 spectators, calling it a positive sign for Pakistan cricket. According to him, attendance during playoff matches was also impressive and reflected growing support for the league.
Naqvi also announced that PSL 12 will be bigger and better than previous editions. He said new venues will be added next season to expand the league’s reach and improve fan experience across the country.
He added that obtaining permission for crowd attendance during matches was not easy. However, the Prime Minister approved the arrangements while also emphasizing efforts to reduce fuel consumption and manage logistical costs.
The PCB chief also commented on administrative and legal matters, including the One Constitutional Avenue issue. He stated that his position remains unchanged and supported the view of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) regarding alleged irregularities.
He further emphasized that there should be equal law for everyone, regardless of status. He also backed the CDA’s stance and said any wrongdoing affecting the country should be investigated and addressed through proper legal action.
